Therapy is an individual process and will be tailored to your needs. You may require a single session, short term work of between 6-8 sessions or more long term therapy. Therapy usually begins with an initial assessment in which you can discuss your needs. You and I can then decide if therapy can benefit you and if so agree on the number and frequency of sessions.
I work on weekdays between 8.30am and 6.30pm (last appointment). I do not work weekends on bank holidays. Sessions are 50 minutes long set at a time that works for both of us. Some people prefer the same time each week, or every other week, and some people prefer a more flexible approach which reflects their working hours or other commitments. Typically late afternoon and early evening appointments are the most popular, and may require a waiting period before the first session. Earlier daytime appointments tend to be easier to fit in at shorter notice.
My fees can be discussed in our initial email contact, and you can pay by cash or bank transfer after each session. There is no ongoing financial commitment past the first appointment, so if you feel we are not a good fit, or that you no longer wish to attend, that is entirely fine and appropriate and you will only pay for that first session. I also liaise directly with insurance companies to ensure fees are paid appropriately if you are covered by a health insurance policy. At our first session, we cover all the other administrative detail of personal therapy such as cancellation fees, or holiday arrangements if longer term therapy is required.
If you are a school or corporate, our relationships will be unique, and as such, we would discuss your particular requirements at our first contact via email or on the phone.
